CDI - INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPER (M/F) 

 

Based in Montpellier and reporting to the company's International Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing a portfolio of international projects in the field of renewable fuels production, from the prospecting phase through to obtaining authorisations.

Main tasks:

  • Identify potential sites, hold sales meetings and present e-fuel projects to landowners, CO2 emitters and potential offtakers.
  • Identify potential local partners (co-development, technical, financial) and rely on these local contacts to take forward all the issues set out below.
  • Prepare and negotiate commercial offers (land, CO2, offtakers, etc.).
  • Securing land on qualifying sites.
  • Managing environmental studies.
  • Initiate or continue consultation with local stakeholders and public authorities.
  • Drawing up and obtaining all the administrative authorisations required for projects, in conjunction with the relevant public authorities (environmental and hazard studies, building permits, water rights, etc.).
  • Contributing to commercial, institutional and regulatory intelligence on the international market for renewable energies, hydrogen and e-fuels.
  • Contribute to the technical and economic market studies in progress or to be initiated in the various countries defined by Management.
  • Participation in working groups to promote the development of projects and the financing of sustainable fuels.
  • Represent the Group in dealings with local contacts (political or administrative authorities, associations, partners, service providers, etc.).

Profile required:

  • 5 years' higher education (business school or engineering school), at least 3 years' experience in project management, ideally in the renewable energy or hydrogen sector, with international experience;
  • Fluency in oral and written expression;
  • You have a good command of English, which is essential for the job;
  • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic or other languages would be a plus.
  • Mastery of the Office pack (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) ;
  • Understanding of the challenges of renewable projects and sensitivity to the issues involved in the energy transition.

  • Tenacity and a flair for negotiation and dialogue, to respond to the problems of prospects and stakeholders while safeguarding the company's interests;
  • Ability to listen, analyse and summarise;
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
